Winter makes the city colder and people less likely to hang out, but once Santa Eulàlia festival starts, it changes everything, and like counting to 3 it will turn into spring.
From the 8th until 12th of February, don’t forget to walk the streets of Ciutat Vella, the old town of the city.
There are many traditions to be appreciated in this festival, and, as locals, we guess the most impressive are practices are:
–Castellers (a human structure which emulates a castle, very risky and exciting)
–Correfocs (known by locals as the run of the hell. A crazy firework show. Take old clothes with you)
